The Velvet Underground & Nico Original Pressing Warhol Banana Sticker V6-5008
When I’m out picking I generally let everyone else fight over the records but occasionally I’ll find a pile to go through with the general thought of just finding records I want to listen to but this house had a rare nugget of gold an original Velvet Underground. This is the original pressing with the banana sticker that hasn’t been peeled but does have a few mars in the sticker (see pics). I tried to take as many pictures of the cover as possible so that you can see all of the possible flaws but all in all I would rate it good to very good. The vinyl itself sounds great with a single exception, at the end of the fifth track on side one Run Run Run there is a small hole which causes the record to skip. I cleaned it multiple times and finally looked at it under a magnifying glass and it almost looks like a factory defect but I can’t be sure. If it was damaged it would have had to have something with a pin point that just hit that one spot on the record without scratching anywhere else. Weird. I listened to both sides and everything else sounds great. With the exception of that one spot I would rate the rest of the album VG to VG+. All in all this is an incredible piece of American Rock n Roll history. I hope you dig it!!!
