The Velvet Underground's 4th Album 'Loaded' released in 1970 on Cotillion Records - Cat. #SD-9034 - SP Pressing - EX/EX
This listing is for a a true US 1st Pressing of the Velvet Underground's album 'Loaded' with (ST-CTN-702030-SP) printed on both labels. This copy can be distinguished by ( )parenthesis around the matrix number on the label, "Stereo" is printed in blue ink on the label, the matrix # has the SP suffix and '1841' is added to the address. The SP suffix on the label matrix is indicative of a Specialty Records Corporation pressing.
Vinyl is in Excellent Condition (EX) - The vinyl has a nice gloss on both sides but does show light signs of being played included paper scuffs and a few light scratched.. I have Fully Play Tested this Album and overall it sounds Awesome and Tracks Great. However at the end of track 4 and the beginning of track 5 on side a there is very light hiccup/pop that sounds faint but is there. This secrtion alsoplays through fine and doesnt get stuck or caught up.
The record labels are in great condition and are easy to read. The spindle hole shows almost no marks from being played!
Cover is in Excellent Condition (EX) - The cover is very sturdy and only shows very minimal signs of wear. There is very very very light signs of ring wear as well as very faint edge wear. Both of these signs of wear are consistent with the age of the album as well as with light handling and shelf wear.
The original inner sleeveis not included and the record is now stored in a Mofi Archival Anti-Static Sleeve. ??Note - All records that I sell are from my own personal collection and have been handled and stored properly since I have be the owner. When it comes to vinyl I am more of a collector than a seller, but I do sell some albums usually when I either feel it’s time to pass them along or if I'm in need of extra money to purchase a new album and/or audio equipment.
All of my vinyls have been both Visually and Play Tested. Visual testing is done under a 100W lamp and play testing is done using my Thorens TD-160 Super with a Black Widow Tonearm with an ADC VLM Cartridge. I have also cleaned each vinyl record using a VPI HW 16.5 Record Cleaning Machine. My grading follows the ‘Goldmine Grading Standard’ but I have added the grade of Excellent (EX) between Near Mint (NM) and Very Good Plus (VG+).
