Description

The Who SELL OUT Stereo 1st Press. Matrix A2/B1. Track records on super sturdy vinyl. Comes housed in an original stereo cover pinched spine by E j day. The inner is original too - dated to November '67. This is before the December release date. 100% genuine 100% complete.

Vinyl (Ex) In superb condition and has only seen very light use. beautiful lustre - highly impressive for the vintage. Waste vinyl in the spindle hole and it grips the spindle tightly - a sign of very slight use. Under close inspection I can only make a couple of very slight marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Perhaps a few slight brief crackles in a couple of spots per side [e.g. beginning intro]. Very little to take issue with at all. I tend to find many copies can be a bit disappointing for audio. This one is superb. Snare drum rolls - very well executed. Spoken word passages clean. Clean and articulate - not ravaged like most copies. A Cracking copy. Highly recommended.
Cover (Ex) In great condition and has avoided most ageing and wear (unlike many examples). Slightest ageing on the spine edge - very little. And it is truly unusual these '67 copies properly white. NOT "looking in the photo like they're white" - I mean properly white [actually white!]. Edges are in excellent condition - minimal wear. Barely a crease. Spine 95% intact. Excellent rigidity. A super specimen.
Inner (Vg+) lightest ageing no splits. bag present.
