Description

The two EPs for sale here are ' Session With The Saints ' - Parlophone GEP8624 which has four tracks :- Mahogany Hall Blues Stomp, Blue Turning Grey Over You, How Come you Do Me Like You Do and Willie The Weeper, and ' The Saints Jazz Band No.2 '  - Parlophone GEP8577, with tracks :- When The Saints Go Marching In, Savoy Blues, Milenberg Joys and Tiger Rag. This well known jazz band from the 1950s was formed originally as the Storeyville Jazz Band and all its members came from small mill towns on the Lancashire moors. The band drove to all their dates in a 1926 nine seater Rolls Royce (a converted hearse) and played before Princess Elizabeth at The Royal Festival Hall in 1951. The records are in excellent condition and the sleeves show slight edge creasing only, after 56 years.
