Description

Please check out my other similar FUNK/SOUL/DISCO/BOOGIE listings (600+ !!) - FLAT shipping rate regardless of quantity!

You're looking at the highlight of all my listings - an unreleased, undocumented (no info on Google prior to me posting it) Memphis Soul acetate on the famous Stax label dating to 1963, right around the time when Steve Cropper recorded "Green Onions". Great stomping beat that is very much in line with the Northern Soul sound, but also a tad bit of the tail end of the teen sound from the early 60's.

Written and performed by Rock & Roll Hall Of Famer Steve Cropper. Steve = Steve Cropper, Dante = ??.  Recorded at Sam Philips Recording Studios (Sun Studios). Great double sider! This might be the only copy in existence as there are no missing Stax cat # from the early 60's. I doubt that this recording ever made it to the test pressing stage. Definitely a piece of Memphis Soul history here. Not even the Stax museum has a copy of this! The second song can be found on Youtube.

Condition Vinyl: Visually strong VG, close to weak VG+ (nice condition for an acetate - has good gloss, not too many visible scuffs - listen to full audio clips)

Condition Sleeve: Generic Stax sleeve
