The Up/Just Like An Aborigine b/w Hassan I Sabbah/Sundance 22190 (A Product of Woodstock Nation) (Ann Arbor Michigan) (1970). This is an original, not a copy or reissue. This single in incredibly rare, especially in this condition. On average, a copy of this record only comes to market once every year or two! Privately pressed, this original was part of a small quantity, conflicting estimates report only 500 to 1,000 copies total!
Dark red wax 45 in custom cardboard picture sleeve. Precursor to punk, garage, metal. MC5 and Stooges related. Formed in Detroit in 1967, this band ended up in the commune set up by YIP's John Sinclair (White Panther Party), and made the move to Ann Arbor, MI with him in 1968. The Up served as the "house band" at the Grande Ballroom in Detroit.
VG+/VG+ (record/sleeve) Record shows very light markings and plays very well. Labels are exceptionally clean.
