Description

An original 1st press of D&W on UK Bronze from 1972. Matrix A1U/B1U. Stampers 1MP/1MG [1st mother]. Really nice heavy vinyl. Note the labels mention distribution by Island at the foot. The vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover printed by Tinsley Robor [correct for very 1st issue]. The left panel is sealed and is super rigid. There is NO original inner sleeve. 
Vinyl (Ex) In super condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and clean and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Plays very nice and clean into all those tricky sectors. Expect nothing more than a few crackles in one isolated spot per side [e.g. briefly in ALL MY LIFE]. It is an extremely adept and classy performer. Crank it up and you will get maximum enjoyment out of this one.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) Truly remarkable condition - not sure I have seen one this pristine before. Firstly - front and rear surfaces are perfectly flat and totally clean and smooth. There's hardly any wear at all - which is highly unusual. At worst one miniscule surface level crease in one corner. Worth noting the colour palette of the imagery is superbly preserved. This theme runs to the inside as well. The interior looks extremely smart with just one minute blemish. Edge wear is pretty much non-existent [highly unusual]. Razor sharp openings. the front panel is perfectly rigid. The spine is 100% intact. Smart! Overall the cover retains prefect structural integrity. There is so much rigidity in this cover - you could eat your dinner of it!
