This is the UK Original of 'Astral Weeks' by Van Morrison. This press is complete with the early WS 1768 A-2/B-2 matrix, the original orange Warner label, heavy vinyl, the original inner sleeve and laminated flipback Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve. The label carries the rare earliest PYE credits on the label and on the rear of the sleeve.
The record is in Very Good+ condition. The vinyl has a sensational bright gloss, with just a few very light marks on both sides. When played the sound is exceptionally rich and warm. The orange label is extremely bright, sharp and unworn. There is only slight spindle wear. The record comes complete with its original inner sleeve.
The laminated sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. The front cover has retained the bright vivid green and the laminate has a superb polished shine. There are a couple of small laminate creases, corner wear and a little light discolouration on the rear of the sleeve. The back is still bright and clean, the flipbacks are sealed and complete and the text is sharp. The whole cover still feels very solid and the spine is firm with clear text.
