Description
The label condition is very clean, fresh and attractive with only a few light spindle marks. Close examination of these spindle marks leads me to believe it has only been played three or possibly four times. I have played it through once today to check its condition. It plays impressively throughout with no inherent pressing faults or repetitive clicks. It has some gentle surface marks, but superficial and non-sounding. I am not a record dealer but I think if I were, I might grade this as Near Mint and certainly Excellent. The cover is also pretty good. The contour of the record is apparent on the back and, to a lesser extent on the front. There is a little bit of creasing on the bottom left hand corner, which looks as though it might have caught against a neighbouring record when it was being pushed onto the shelf. The sleeve is a single format with a laminated front, printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd and includes the correct original catalogue number WS 1768, also the ‘W7’ logo seen on the front, back and spine. The white poly-lined inner sleeve is included as well. This inner sleeve shows some wear with the outer paper torn in one corner, poly-liner intact.
The predominately white and unprotected back shows little real wear and the card remains off-white, not browned or aged. Only a couple of very fine light creases to the main rear panel, discolouration and rim impression not too bad (see photos). The top and bottom edges are neat and straight with full laminate protection and no wear or chips. The spine is still solid and the text is perfect and unworn. The corners are in pretty good shape with just a little bit of shelf bashing on the bottom right.
Packing and sending. To confirm to Ebay rules on shipping, it will be sent ‘signed for.’ This is my first eBay listing of a record. I assume that the purchaser and I will discuss the postage. I will certainly commit now to offering the fastest possible dispatch, within two days of the payment being received. I will put the cover of the record in a soft protective sleeve and put it with the record into a stout box with stiffeners for maximum extra protection. I will then wrap it all in bubble-wrap to bulk out the record inside the box to centre the item inside to reduce the risk of damage. I will send the package via An Post (the Irish post office)( or by courier if requested and I will retain proof of posting.
