THE VELVET UNDERGROUND & NICO - s/t first stereo pressing 1967 LP aka "the banana cover"
highly collectible and very rare 1st state with near completely unpeeled banana! thick gatefold cover V6-8005.
stamper numbers in dead wax are "V6-5008 SIDE 1 MGS-558-REV" and "V6-5008 SIDE 2 MGS-559" on sides A and B respectively.
LP is in VG+ to EX condition, nice sheen, a few spindle marks, clean labels (original BLUE/SILVER verve "T" label with deep groove). a few light surface marks, plays very clean with some very minimal background noise.
cover is VG+, minor corner wear, some dirt (see photos), spine is nice and sharp with clean text, some ring wear mostly visible on back cover. inner gatefold spread is nice and clean. no writing, splits, stickers, drill holes, or cuts. as seen in photo banana is 90% intact just missing the very top stem part. very hard to find with the banana still attached!
