Thanks for looking at my auction, which is for the excellent follow up to the the VU's debut album, entitled "White Light/White Heat". This is a stunning US Mono (V-5046) Yellow Label Promo LP, still in the shrinkwrap with the "skull" in the bottom left corner. This record is like brand new. There are no punchholes or cutout marks. This is a perfect compliment to the "VU & Nico" I also have for sale right now, and this copy is in just as nice shape. I bought this LP sealed and only played it 3 or 4 times.

Notes: original copies have the famous black on black skull tattoo printing on front cover. There are many variations on the back cover credits. Original edition fails to credit Andy Warhol for cover concept, lists There She Comes Now instead of Here She Comes Now, and credits Lou Reed for lead guitar. Later issues have corrected credits but the non-skull pirate 70s edition has the "original" wrong credits. Some 70s reissues have mastering mistakes (stereo/mono).

The jacket is still in the shrinkwrap and near mint. There are some tiny, evenly spaced pinholes in the shrinkwrap near the spine on the back, and there is very light discoloration from the air around those areas. It's very minor though and those holes are from the pressing plant. There is a tiny ding in the bottom left corner. Lastly, there are some light scuffs and a small tear in the shrinkwrap on the front, close to where the skull is. These scuffs do not affect the jacket and are only on the shrinkwrap. Also included is the intact original Verve innersleeve with no seam splits.

The disc plays beautifully from start to finish, with minimal noise. I only played it 3 or 4 times, and it's near mint, with just a few barely visible sleeve marks. I heard two quick ticks during the middle of Sister Ray, but that's all of the noise I can recall on the whole album. That was probably a stray piece of lint. There are two light marks on the labels that I think are from the factory. One could be a spindle mark, but I was very careful whenever I played this record. I would rate the disc Near Mint minus, but again, it's practically brand new.

I have a small reserve on this LP due to it's rarity in such impeccable condition. You will be hard pressed to find a nicer copy.

All LPs are shipped well packed in specially made boxes manufactured exclusively for shipping LPs. Records are carefully packaged between pre-cut cardboard filler pads to prevent them from getting bent or damaged during transit. All LPs, new or used, are sent in brand new polypropylene protective sleeves to protect and enhance the beauty of your investment. I also clean and vacuum any LP that is not sealed on a VPI professional record vacuum, so the LP will have the best possible sound when it arrives to you. I ship all LPs in the above manner, no matter the final bid outcome. If the LP you win is not sealed, I will ship the record or records in their inner sleeves on the outside of and next to the jacket to avoid seam splitting.

I prefer Paypal for payment as soon as possible after the auction has ended. Please do not bid if you will not pay within 14 days. I will ship your item either the day I receive your payment or the very next day. I will also accept a money order (postal preferred) or US $ hidden well in a letter. I cannot be responsible for cash sent in the mail.
