78rpm records c.1930 - 50's
THIS IS THE BEST OF THE BEST !!!
(Bing Crosby, Judy Garland, Al Jolson, Frank Sinatra, Vera Lynn, Andrews Sisters, Louise Armstrong, Mayilyn Monroe, Ella Fitzgerald, Gene Kelly, Doris Day etc etc)
Of my 800+ 78rpms I have selected the best of the best and grouped them into collections of artists, genre or year. This I believe is the creme de la da creme of my collection !! This is the first lot of 'specials' and I will list more group lots later.... this for the moment is the first installment and is I think the best of the best !!!

These are all 78's and are in a good condition given the age. A few of these are missing covers though but I as this is the best of the best i will scavenge covers from my other 78's.
I no longer have a 78 turntable so I cannot determine the sound quality. However they are quite cleanish (a LOT of dust) and with no major markings. I think these will play reasonably well (given they are over 70 - 100 years old there will of course be some crackle... but that's the way it is with most 78's).
THEY DO NEED A CLEAN THOUGH !
As mentioned these are in good condition.
( I would rate them as good, they aren't mint but are better than average condition in my opinion)!!
They do need a clean but I will leave that up to the buyer as I have heard of several methods ranging from windex, plain soapy water, toothpaste and someone even said they put them in the dishwasher !!!!! The one thing I do know is not to use any alcohol based product !
My last buyer though did recommend plain soapy water though !
These are being offered in a group lot... so if there is only one you want... well sorry but you get the lot !!

Australian Bidders - I accept bank deposit (preferred) (please allow up to five days for clearance), personal cheque (again, please allow up to five days for cheque clearance) and money order. I would appreciate contact in three days and payment within five. I am happy to deal with people with zero or little feedback but would appreciate contact before bidding. First a word about postage.
Please note that due to one missing item (registered thankfully !) and a number of items being delayed (to the contractor not picking up from the back of the shop as I found out recently) I now use a different location. Thus I am only able to post on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This should not be a problem but if it is let me know......cheers!

Australia: Pick up From Frankston (Preferred).....however... I will post... but bear in mind... these are 78's records... and if you collect these records you know they are actually pretty heavy... around 250 - 270 grams each.... so that means about 10 + kgs.... email me with a postcode and I will give you the cost... but around $30 would be my bet... The last lot I posted to WA and that cost $64. I will only post these registered... which is a mere $3 extra !!!
Also if you live anywhere between Frankston (where i live) and Camberwell (where I work) I can also deliver on my way to or from work... will also go a bit out of my way to deliver for a moderate cost (the last lots I delivered for $9 to Rosanna, $5 to Scoresby and $10 to Brighton !)
