Van and His Orchestra (Peter Van Steeden) Louisiana Silvertone 8071

Description

Van and his Orchestra play "Louisiana" and "In My Bouquet of Memories" on Silvertone Champion 8071.  "Louisiana" is seriously hot, with excellent clarinet, trombone, tenor sax, and violin solos.  The other side is a pretty tune without solos.
Possible personnel:  Red Rehrig +1 (tp); Lou Lentz (tb); Norman Birseck, Freddy Cusick (cl, as); Art McKay (ts, bar); Sol Misheloff (vln); Dick Costello (p); Jimmy Smith (bj, g); Joe Schultz (tu); Ray Gunnerman (d); Jerry White (vcl); Peter Van Steeden (dir).  Recorded in New York on May 2, 1928.
This record looks VV+, and plays V+.  Both labels have a little pencil writing, and the "Louisiana" label has a few needle runs.
I'm a longtime collector who is downsizing.  I know how to pack records.
