Description

Very rare white label promo of the Velvet Underground's Andy Warhol produced debut. This pressing was manufactured  by Verve's west coast plant, and is the rarer of the two promotional copies that exist. Features the Eric Emerson torso photo on the back cover.

Issues are as follows:

Sleeve:

The banana has been peeled, there is some splitting on the top right edge of the liner side, the name "Carlson" is written on the top-left of the left inner gatefold. Discoloration, ringwear and some warping of the edges. Seam looks nice. Comes with the original inner sleeve.

Vinyl:

Hairlines and marks, as well as one deep scratch on Run, Run, Run (see picture). Surface noise is present but to my ears isn't overpowering. Still retains its sheen, nice heavy pressing. I've played this on two turntables, a Technics 1200 (some skips) and a Bang & Olufsen in which there are semi-frequent pops but no jumps. Label on side A has the name "Carlson" written on it.
