Description

An exquisite and very rare white label promotional copy (made for radio station DJs) of The Rolling Stones 1964 LP as “England’s Newest Hit Makers,” London catalogue number LL.3375DJ (as opposed to LL.3375, the LP’s regular catalogue number). This promo copy comes with the highly coveted textured poster of the LP front cover in near mint condition.

Rarely will you find all of three pieces – cover, vinyl, and poster – of this promo package together in such exceptional condition. This is a fantastic collectible for the serious Stones fan or fan of early 1960s rock and roll.

LP: EX. Excellent LP has a few visible cosmetic scratches on each side but none of these affect play. Nicely weighted vinyl has a giant, rich sound and plays without skips, jumps, or clicks of any kind. Clean deep groove white labels read “NOT FOR SALE” and “MADE IN ENGLAND.” See photos for details.

Cover: VG+. Front cover has lovely original textured matte finish and stickers that read “PROMOTIONAL COPY/NOT FOR SALE” and “FREE FULL COLOR PHOTO” along with some foxing across the bottom. Back cover has a bit of foxing along edges and some wear along bottom but is otherwise in great shape. No significant tears or seam splits, though there is some wear along all four edges and the very beginning of a gentle 1” seam split on the bottom left hand corner.

Poster: NM. Original textured poster (of LP front cover) in NM condition. No pin holes, no tape residue, no staining, no yellowing. Flawless. [In the interest of full disclosure, an earlier owner wrote a few charming notes in very light pencil on the back of the poster. I will leave it to the future owner to decide whether or not to erase them, which will be quite easy. In any case, the writing has no bearing on the front which, as I say, is flawless.]

LP will come in protective Mobile Fidelity archive-quality sleeve. Cover will come in thick vinyl protective sleeve.

Packed expertly by professional shipping company. Mailed for FREE via FedEx, with tracking number provided, within a day of receipt of payment.
