Description
This is the Very Rare and unique opportunity to own The Debut 'Blondie' album on a Private Stock double test pressing white label album PLP1017 A&B. Both vinyl are in white paper sleeves, one of which has an EMI promo print. These are both the original sleeves. The records are in excellent condition and have been played only once.
The linage of these authentic test pressings can be proven and are sourced directly from a member of the Private Stock team.
Only handful of these test pressings were ever manufactured and rarely enter the market.
The band were dropped by Private stock and signed to Chrysalis where the album was later re-released. The bands first single "X Offender" suffered disappointing sales and poor publicity, the band ended their contract with Private Stock and signed with Chrysalis Records in 1977. Chrysalis re-released the album.
- Originally recorded at Plaza Sound Studios NY, August - September 1976 and released on Private Stock (2023) in December 1976, reissued on Chrysalis (1165) in October 1977.
