Description
Om Kalsoum was a singer so loved she was named "The Nightingale of the Nile" by her millions of fans in the Middle East. She was said to have a perfect contralto for expressing the "sinuous quarter tones of Arabic music". This vintage vinyl records was made in France. It is not dated, but must be from before 1975, as she died in that year. Included is an obituary from Time magazine. The jacket, fitted plastic sleeve, and album itself are in MINT condition with no scuffs, scratches or cracks. Ring/storage wear on cover is so minor as to be almost nonexistent and the corners are all in excellent shape. Some minimal wrinkling of sleeve simply because it's been in he jacket. This exotic music will transport you to a different place and time. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.
