Description
Rare 45 rpm Pacific NW garage rock: WHEEL OF FORTUNE - Before You Leave b/w Long Long Day - Ridon Records 856, released in 1967. The band was from Salem, Oregon. Produced by Richard Keefer, who produced and engineered New Tweedy Brothers, Heart and others. The B-side was on the 'Highs In The Mid Sixties # 16' compilation. Side A is guitar and Farfisa organ-driven garage punk similar to The Sonics. Side B is druggy garage psych ("I got holes in my arms, pills in my stomach").
Condition is VG+/ VG (still a very decent copy of a rare record - A-side has minor scuffing and a half-inch scratch at the opening which causes some ticks off and on during its length and some soft background - sounds VG+ and then after the mark it sounds EX; B-side has moderate scuffing and soft surface scratches with fairly steady but not overpowering background - sounds VG to VG+; labels are clean except for one ink X on the B-side).
