Original US-pressing from 1984 on WILSON AUDIOPHILE,W-8418.Recorded live in Palm Desert,CA,by David A.Wilson,assisted by loudspeaker-guru John Curl,mastered by Bruce Leek.Equipment contains Schoeps Omnis microphones,Monster Cables,custom vacuum tube mic,custom-built Wilson 2-track analog machine etc.

E.Graham is known for his audiophile “Hot Stix”-LP from 1978 on M&K Realtime Records,RT-106.Here he performs with a fine trio.Extensive liner-notes on the back-cover concerning both music and technical data.Pressed on premium quality virgin vinyl.

One of the finest audiophile jazz records ever made,outstanding and unique,if not even radical in it’s production:the idea of this live-recording was to capture the sound as direct & immediate and as natural & acoustically rich as possible,to give you the impression of “being there”,wich in this case means being in a fairly large,good sounding room.So the perspective is a little distant and you will have to turn up the volume,but this acoustical blend captures with extraordinary accuracy the positioning of the instruments within a large and dimensional soundstage.A one-of-a-kind listening pleasure-highly reommended!

Condition:the record looks brilliant and shiny,it has definitely been not played often.There are 2 tiny spots with slight pressing-imperfections in the vinyl,wich you can only see under a real strong light:1.a supertiny bubble of the size of a needle’s tip and 2.a few mm short mark parallel to the record’s groove,both cause 3 soft tics next to the drumming-intro of 2 tracks,the duration is less than a second for both.The rest of the LP plays perfectly in mint- all of the time.

Both labels are clean,if you take a close look at the center-hole you will notice some clear cellophane inside wich prooves that the record has been played only a few times,otherwise the cellophane would have been removed by the record player’s spindle.

The cover has all seams/spine intact without any rub,the white colour of the back is brilliant without any discolourations,the front is fine,there’s just a hint of slightest shelfwear,overall mint-.

Grading:this used record has been cleaned on a prof. cleaning machine.After that I playgraded it on a Rega Planar 9 with a EINSTEIN TU-3 Super Fine Line moving coil cartridge (please consider that the playback might differ a bit depending on your own equipment).I also visually graded the record under a strong light.I give you a detailed description of both gradings.Only an unplayed record is mint,the highest grading for a used record is mint-! My basic gradings are:mint-ex-vg.As a free service,this cleaned records is stored in a brandnew deluxe innersleeve and the cover is placed in a brandnew PVC protection-sleeve!
