WOODEN O Handeful Of Pleasant Delites UK MIDDLE EARTH LP Psych Folk Jazz
The Wooden O and Guests, A Handeful Of Pleasant Delites.
Original 1969 UK pressed Middle Earth Records stereo LP, MDLS 301.
Earliest heavy duty pressing with A1/B1 matrix suffixes.
Around a G pressing, but the grade is largely dragged down by some sounding marks. The vinyl is still glossy but displaying some light hairline scuff marks and two or three more visible marks.
At the end of track two there are a few consecutive mid-level ticks which ease off as the third track starts. Some consecutive low level ticks to track six. A very few consecutive soft ticks to the middle of track four on side two. Else the occasional light tick and some crackle. This said much of the LP plays very cleanly and there is no continuous background noise. Listening enjoyment is impaired a little by the faults but not extensively so.
Labels are clean and undefaced.
Fully laminated sleeve is on the whole structurally sound and fairly well preserved. Still has a good gloss and there are no pen marks, stickers etc. Spine and seams are in excellent condition. A few minor pinch line creases leading in from spine area, some air pocketing to laminate next to spine. Graded VG plus however, as there is evidence of removed sellotape which was used to line (not repair) front and rear at entry side. The sellotape was wrapped around the entry side at both inner and outer. The sellotape has been removed neatly but has left slight discolouration at these areas. There is one tiny piece of laminate removal to rear of sleeve, but just a sliver. At bottom right front of sleeve there is a small triangular flap of surface material lifted but present. On the whole the sleeve still looks very presentable however. The damage is somewhat overaccentuated in the photo.
