Widespread Panic Monkey Image/Coconut Image 45! Rare!







This auction is for a pristine 45 RPM Monkey Image/Coconut Image record. This is the FIRST WP record, and it is a true collector's item. This one apparently has never been played.

I am also selling a collection of ORIGINAL One-of-One photographs of Widespread Panic members. These are the property of my daughter, who is an Athens, Ga. musician who has been a close friend of all WP members since their original development. She is the one who coined the term "Spreadheads".

The photos were taken in the late 1980s, when the band was young. Most are in Mint condition, and are quite well preserved. NONE have been reprinted, ALL are one of a kind and original. They are all in very nice condition.

There are several closeups of John Bell on stage in an Uptown Lounge (the original one) Athens show. Also a shot of the whole group (JB, Mikey, Todd, Dave, Sunny) on stage at that show. Also a rare shot of the group at an outdoor Athens "concert". Some excellent shots of Todd at the drums. Check out Mikey and an airborne Groucho, my daughter's cat.

All photos are 5 x 7. Most have the photographer's name printed in ink on the back and the date, either 1988 or 1989. We believe the Uptown Lounge gig was late 1988 and some of the shots were developed in 1989.

We will also be listing an unplayed, pristine, original of the FIRST WP record, the 45 rpm vinyl 1986-issue Coconut Image/Monkey Image!
