Description

An original 1st issue of WTB on the UK Parlophone label from 1964. Matrix 1N/1N - 1st cut. Please note the perimeter text on the labels still mentions 'Parlophone' and 'recording 1st pub' is still showing too. So, this copy will date from winter 63/64 as this title was still charting. It is not one of the very earliest copies that exhibit Jobete publishing that would most likely have been pressed prior to 1st release in Nov-63. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono G&L cover with flipbacks. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% complete & genuine 100%.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In very nice condition and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks per side, a couple of semi-feelable ones right at the start of side 1 [which do sound see details]. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of deviations. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Great energy and vibrancy and, to be honest, no much background at all. Interference is limited and infrequent. I couldn't detect more than a few crackles in a couple of isolated places per side. The only deviations are in track 1 on both sides. Both tracks exhibit a non-repeating isolated skip in the first 20 seconds. A shame in some respects, but over very quickly and early on allowing you to fully enjoy the remainder of the LP.
Cover (Ex-) In great shape and looking a darn sight better than most other copies from around 1st release time. Very nice clean and shiny front with barely any creasing. The rear looks sweet and seems to have mostly avoided the usual ageing process - just a touch at the opening as is very common. All flipbacks are intact and secure. Edge wear is very slight and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) Very light ageing no splits or markings though.
