Description

THE BEATLES - 'WITH THE BEATLES'

This EXCELLENT UK PMC 1206 mono pressing was purchased in 1966 and is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1206

Both labels carry 'The Parlophone Co..' worded rim texts and have the 'Dominion. Belinda' as the publishing credit for the song 'Money'

However, the side 2 label bears a slightly different layout than most pressing of this LP. For example, line 6 begins: '6. DEVIL IN HER HEART'.. Most labels begin that line with the word; 'Songs..'

The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible around the centre of the side 2 label.

Matrix numbers: XEX 447-7N & XEX 448-7N

Stamper codes: 3,15/GTR & 14/GLP

Disc weight: 153g

Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with the a large 'mono' front indicator and the misspelt 'You Really Gotta Hold On Me' on the rear tracklist.

Complete with its original 'Patents Applied For' inner-sleeve.

CONDITION

Disc

Labels: EXCELLENT +

A clean & bright set with just a touch of wear to each centre hole but nothing significant on either.

Visual: EXCELLENT

Both playing surface clean & glossy with a single light, non-feelable fingernail scuff mark at the edge of side 2 being the only visual blemish when viewed in strong daylight. Closer examination directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp reveals just a handful of barely visible harmless wispy paper hairlines but no other visual faults or wear. Both sides of this well looked-after disc lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.

Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +

This fine sounding disc has received minimal, careful play on good equipment and is without any significant deterioration to the sound quality or any major faults. My single careful play-check found no clicks, pops or any other noticeable distractions or wear.

Cover: EXCELLENT

A highly respectable example of this iconic cover with a clean & unyellowed front panel bearing just a few tiny wrinkles to its high-gloss laminate but no significant signs of wear. All corners are are free form any bumps or bruising and both opening edges are unworn. The rear panel is clean & bright overall with just a small age-related blemish above the 1st column of the sleeve notes but no writing or missing paper. All flipbacks are fully intact and both seams & the spine are all unstressed, unsplit and unworn.

Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT

Clean & flat with minor storage wrinkling, but no tears or seam splits.
