Description
We recently purchased a collection from an 87 year old gentleman who took great care with his records. He recorded each record to reel to reel when he bought them and then put them away. As a result, they are all in superb condition and while some have cover flaws, the vinyl itself is pristine!
Wynton Kelly Kelly Blue is a 1st mono pressing with a deep groove and small label. The vinyl is clean and unmarked. The cover has a 2 inch split on the top seam at the open end and was repaired a long time ago with scotch tape. The tape is yellowing and about to fall off. There is also minor damage to the bottom spine and a small drill hole through the covers and record. These flaws are pictured.
The trio consists of Kelly, Paul Chambers and Jimmy Cobb. On the sextet tunes they are joined by Bobby Jaspar, Benny Golson and Nat Adderley. Classic session and a rare find in this condition!
