RARE 1965 UK 1A/1A MONO 1st PRESSING

SLEEVE IN EXCELLENT+ CONDITION
1965 UK 12" album release DECCA RECORDS (LK 4679) 33.3 rpm MONO
Stamped matrices: ARL-6709-1A and ARL-6710-1A
Made in England by the Decca Record Co Ltd
Please see the label photographs above for the track listings
CONDITION: VINYL EXCELLENT The heavyweight vinyl is clean and bright with light signs of play on Side One and some more obvious marks on Side Two. Despite these, the joy of 60's Decca pressings means that the sound reproduction is excellent throughout, with only some typical light pops and clicks in places on the flipside. The two deep grooved red and silver paper labels are both clean and complete with light spindle traces on each side. Both have the name 'ALAN' handwritten in biro below the spindle hole, so I will grade them down to VERY GOOD+.
INNER and OUTER SLEEVES EXCELLENT+ The Robert Stace sleeve has a laminated colour front cover and an unlaminated black and white back cover. The laminate is complete on the front cover with a little light creasing around the edges. There is some light ringwear compression and a diagonal line shadow, both of which become clearer if the sleeve is angled into the light. The unlaminated back cover is clean and unmarked, and has discoloured only slightly from its original white. There is minimal rubbing to the corners and a little feathering along the opening edge of the back cover, but overall there are no folds, tears, seam splits, stains or handwriting. The spine is crisp and uncreased with fully readable printing, and retains its pinched ends. The record has been stored in the original blue and white Decca polylined inner sleeve, which has minimal creasing and only light discolouration.
AN EXCELLENT EXAMPLE OF THIS HARD TO FIND GEM.

IF YOU ARE THINKING OF BUYING THIS ITEM PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE BIDDING...
ABOUT THIS ITEM:
All vinyl is strictly graded using the Record Collector RRPG system.
All photographs are of the actual item listed above: I never use 'stock' pictures or re-use old photos of previously sold items.
This item is listed with NO RESERVE for 10 days ending at around 20.45 GMT on Sunday 7 March 2010.
THERE IS NO 'BUY IT NOW' PRICE. I always let my auctions run their full course, so please do not contact me asking if this item can be sold early. Live a little, enjoy the giddy thrill of bidding.
BIDDERS WITH ZERO (0) FEEDBACK: We all need to start somewhere but, due to an unacceptably high proportion of phantom U.S. non-payers, I would ask all zero feedback potential buyers to EMAIL ME BEFORE BIDDING. Any bids received from zero feedback buyers who have not contacted me prior to bidding will be immediately deleted.
If you are the successful bidder, PLEASE WAIT FOR ME TO INVOICE YOU BEFORE YOU MAKE YOUR PAYMENT, especially if you have bought more than one item - you will be entitled to a postage discount for multiple purchases.
If you do win this item, PLEASE MAKE YOUR PAYMENT WITHIN 2 DAYS of receiving your invoice. If you will be unable to pay within 48 hours then please contact me BEFORE YOU BID - communication is everything.
PAYMENT WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED IN UK STERLING. Whilst PayPal is my preferred method of payment, I am happy to accept UK personal cheques (but only with bank guarantee card details written on the back - your cheque will be returned without this information), sterling Postal or Money Orders, and most international credit or debit cards. I cannot accept cash payments unless they are offered in person upon collection or delivery.
All items will be posted within 48 hours of full payment being received or cleared - in practice, most are despatched on the same day.
Positive feedback will be left as soon as buyers show their own satisfaction with the transaction.
POSTAGE & PACKING DETAILS:
This item and its protective cardboard packaging weighs under 500g. The post and packing charges are:
Under £39: UK Royal Mail 1st Class £2.85
£39 or over: UK Royal Mail 1pm Special Delivery £6.10
Under £39: Europe Airmail £4.25
£39 or over: Europe International Signed For Airmail £10.15
Under £39: Rest Of World Airmail £7.20
£39 or over: Rest Of World International Signed For Airmail £13.10
Prices include both the Royal Mail postage fee and 70p towards my packaging costs.
All records will be removed from their outer sleeves and then placed in a new polythene sleeve, before being carefully packed WITH TWO CARDBOARD STIFFENERS and posted in strong new Covers 33 mailers (although I do try to re-use good quality heavyweight packaging whenever practical). Please try to recycle the packing cardboard if possible - it might just help to offset the damage done when it was originally manufactured. Alternatively, throw it away and set fire to a couple of old tyres.
Certificates of Posting are obtained for all packets despatched, without exception.
I CAN ACCEPT NO LIABILITY FOR ANY ITEMS THAT MAY BE LOST OR DAMAGED IN THE POST
I always strongly recommend that you select the insured option for postage irrespective of the value of the contents. Naturally, I will happily provide buyers with any necessary paperwork in the event of them having to make a claim against Royal Mail, but if you do not select the insured option, and your parcel is damaged or goes missing in the post, then you will not be entitled to any compensation, it's that simple.

NO EXCEPTIONS!
Please do not ask me to send expensive items by the cheapest service available as I will not do so. Bitter experience has taught me that it is a nightmare to resolve to everyone's satisfaction if the postal service lets us down. If you are not prepared to pay for the correct postal service then PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THIS ITEM.
ABOUT ME:
If you haven't done business with me before my name is ANDY HIBBERD and I own a "bricks and mortar" record shop called 101 COLLECTORS RECORDS in Farnham, Surrey, about an hour out of central London.
My eBay seller rating currently stands at a 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK HISTORY, a score of 4.9 OR 5 OUT OF 5 on all four Detailed Seller Ratings, and over 760 SATISFIED CUSTOMERS. Only an annual eBay sales turnover of less than the £9,000 required prevents me from achieving eBay's highest rating as a seller. Come on eBay, please reward good service to the customer rather than volume of sales.
I deal in old and collectable records, CDs, DVDs and music memorabilia in most genres, as well as new vinyl and CD releases and re-issues. 95% of my business is done in the shop, with my eBay sales offering just a, hopefully tantalising, taste of my overall stock. Please feel free to get in touch if you need any further information about this item, if you have any questions about what's currently in stock, or if you need any advice about selling a collection.
I can be contacted on 01252 734409 between 10am - 5.30pm Monday to Saturday.
I am always happy to receive your Wants Lists, but I sometimes file them carefully under bits of paper, which are in turn under slightly larger pieces of paper, that aren't always where I thought I had left them. This could be blamed on incompetence on my part, but I prefer to blame it on the pixies that clearly infest my shop and move things about after I have gone home, the little bastards. However, I will do my very best to find what you want a) immediately, b) the day after you have found it elsewhere, or c) about a year after you have quite frankly lost the will to live.
That said, I do appreciate your interest in this listing. If you are thinking of bidding, please make sure that you have read the description and P&P costs carefully, and take the time to look at my Returns Policy. Also, please check out my Feedback comments and past sales - I am not an anonymous internet seller but a responsible (pixies permitting) and contactable UK record dealer. You can bid with confidence.
Thank you.
Andy
