Description
Zoot Sims in Paris - United Artists UAJ 14013. December 1961 monaural recording, live at the Blue Note in Paris, France.
Personnel & song titles:
Zoot Sims (ts), Henri Renaud (p), Bob Whitlock (b), Jean-Louis Viale (d).
Zoot's Blues / Spring Can Really Hang You Up The Most / Once In A While / These Foolish Things / On The Alamo / Too Close For Comfort / A Flat Blues / You Go To My Head / Stompin' At The Savoy.
Condition: LP is VG+. A 9 mm cluster scratch in “These Foolish Things” is audible. Jacket has bends in lower right corner (15 mm) and upper left corner (12 mm). Black ballpoint pen initials in the Z of Zoot. Liner has light toning around the periphery and some light soiling. Red pencil mark in upper right margin (28 mm). The accompanying image shows slightly different shading on left and right. That disparity is only in the image and not on the original jacket cover. It is due to the fact that the image stitched from two separate scans.
Shipping: Buyer pays shipping and handling, cost of which will vary depending on destination and method of shipping selected by buyer. Within the USA & territories, 1 LP shipped via media mail, with minimum insurance (up to $50 value), is $6.28 *. Additional insurance, required if winning bid exceeds minimum, is at USPS cost. If requested, I will quote rates for Priority mail, FedEx or UPS ground.
Winners outside the USA will be quoted shipping cost at end of auction. The least expensive method in most cases is via First-Class International Mail. However, parcels with a value in excess of $40 will be shipped via Priority International Mail or any other method of winner’s choosing for which a tracking number is assigned.
I will accommodate winners who wish to have multiple LPs shipped in a single parcel.
* Note: This amount includes a $2 handling charge, which covers my cost of record mailer and V3C (weather resistant) grade corrugated cardboard squares that I have custom cut to a size slightly greater than that of the standard 12-inch (30 cm) LP jacket. The $2 charge is per parcel, not per record. The shipping amount of $2.58 within the USA as shown at the top of this page is exclusive of the required insurance fee and handling charge.
Payment: I accept payment by personal cheque or money order in either USD or GBP, or Paypal. I also accept cash in cases of in-person deliveries only.
