Stella Brooks with Frank Newton, Joe Sullivan, George Brunies, Sidney Bechet, George Wettling, Jack Lesberg. . 3 record set of six songs by Disc Company of America, 117 West 46th St, New York. Records are 5030A-B, 5031A-B, 5032A-B. Songs include: Little Piece Of Leather, I'll Never Be The Same, As Long As I Live, St. Louis Blues, Jazz Me Blues, West End. The records look quite good condition, certainly they look playable, though I don't have a 78 record player. I don't note any serious scrathes - nor any cracks or chips. I'm thinking this is a pretty scarce record set for her. She was known as the 'white Billie Holliday', with her career being in the 1940-50s.
Guaranteed genuine as described. Notes: often I include multiple images of the lot to give the full flavor-the lot description will indicate whether just one or several items are being offered - too, these images are rarely the exact size of the item itself. All auctions will run their full time allotment - any pre-auction closing offers, though appreciated, will be respectfully declined. If you have questions regarding the item, shipping, payment etc, please don't hesitate to ask! If you would like insurance, signature confirmation, Registered, please advise, as this will be additional cost. Items totaling $50 and over, insurance is required will require additional cost. Combined lots totaling $50 and over will likewise require insurance. Insurance is not offered for outside of the US - if secure shipping is desired, Registered is a great way to go. Kansas residents will need to add Sales Tax. Thank you for bidding!
