SWIRLING ECHOES - - Obscure Greek Bands From the 70's

Twelve unreleased tracks from eleven Greek bands, all recordings made between 1973 and 1978.
 Speaking for the music, hear you find Greek traditional folk with heavy psychedelic influences, power pop, heavy blues rock, progressive jazz, hippie-rock, acid folk, Beefheart and Grateful Dead influnces; Greek lyrics on all of the tracks. Every record comes complete with it's own 4-page, illustrated, full coloured cover. If you unfold the cover, you can see a poster-painting made by the late Vassilis Dallas (of Bourboulia). On the back side there is info on the bands, plus photos. An extra insert contains most of the information in English, as well as an original poster from a 1973 gig (presenting Socrates, Peloma Bokiu, Blue Birds, and Rebeli). Limited to 400 numbered copies. This is the first time being reissued for bands included here, such as Anazitisi, Iho, and Erimites. The bands Smile, Brothers, Rebeli and Crisna are responsible for some of the rarest Greek 70's singles. Stavros had four very rare singles. KOYKOYTARAS & AZITE'I'SIONS had an extremely rare album as well as a single. Kastores had participated in the legendary "Pop Festival 73" LP with one track. Finally, Bourbouliahad one single on their own, but they were the backing band on the early albums by legendary Greek composer/singer Dionyssis Savopoulos.
