Description
Available at auction are 6 Capitol LP inner sleeves. During the Beatles Era Capitol Records used 5 different colored inner sleeves. There were two blue shades used. This is a spectacular grouping that has NO seam-splits.
LA 12TC-1 is Dark Blue. This sleeve was used on original issues of "Meet The Beatles" and "The Beatles' Second Album".
12 TC-1 is Aqua Blue. This sleeve was used on original issues of "Something New" and "The Beatles' Story".
PE 12-2AS is Orange Red (Rust). This sleeve was used on "Early Beatles", "Beatles VI", and some "Beatles '65".
PE 12-2ES is Olive-Green. It was used on "Help" and "Rubber Soul".
PE 12-2FS is Gold. This sleeve was used on original issues of "Yesterday and Today" and "Revolver". There are some red markings in the upper RH-corner. Appear to be from a felt pen. One is a horizontal line that is a 1.5" and one is vertical line that is 1/2 inch. Seem random. Pristine otherwise.
PE12-4BJ is Light Brown (Tan). This sleeve was used on Capitol Records original 1967 issues and on Beatles' LP re-issues in 1967. Some think it may have rarely been used on "Magical Mystery Tour" and "Sgt. Pepper's" issues or re-issues.
