Description
Available at auction are 6 Capitol LP inner sleeves. During the Beatles Era Capitol used 5 different colored inner sleeves.
12TC-1 is Dark Blue. This sleeve was used on original issues of "Meet the Beatles" and "Beatles' Second Album" and perhaps on some "Something New". There is a one inch seam-split on the bottom edge center.
12TC-1 is Aqua Blue. This sleeve was used on original issues of "Something New" and "The Beatles' Story. There is a 2.5" seam-split on the bottom-edge center and a 2" seam-split on the left-edge center. 3/8" tear along top edge center.
PE 12-2AS is Orange Red (Rust). This sleeve was used on "Early Beatles", Beatles VI", and some Beatles '65". No seam-splits.
PE 12-2ES is Olive-Green. It was used on "Help" and "Rubber Soul". There is a 1.5" seam split on the bottom edge center.
PE 12-2FS is Gold. This sleeve was used on original issues of "Yesterday and Today" and "Revolver". There is a 1 inch seam-split on the right edge center.
PE12-4BJ is Light Brown (Tan). This sleeve was used on Capitol Records original 1967 issues and on Beatles' LP re-issues in 1967. Some think it may have rarely been used on "Magical Mystery Tour" and "Sgt. Pepper's" issues or re-issues. No seam-splits. There is wear along the top edge.
