Description
Available at auction are 6 Capitol LP inner sleeves. During the Beatles Era Capitol used 5 different colored inner sleeves.
12TC-1 is Aqua. This sleeve was used on original issues through "Beatles '65". There is a 2.5" seam-split on the bottom edge center.
PE 12-2AS is Orange Red (Rust). This sleeve was used on "Early Beatles", Beatles VI", and some Beatles '65". No seam-splits.
PE 12-2BL is Olive-Green. It was used on "Help" and "Rubber Soul". It has a 1.5" seam-split on the right edge center.
PE 12-2FS is Gold. This sleeve was used on original issues of "Yesterday and Today" and "Revolver". No seam-splits.
PE12-4BL is Light Brown (Tan). This sleeve was used on Capitol Records original 1967 issues and on Beatles' LP re-issues in 1967. Some think it may have rarely been used on "Magical Mystery Tour" and "Sgt. Pepper's" issues or re-issues. There is a 3" seam-split on the bottom edge-center and a partial promo punch-hole in the upper LH-corner.
BPE 12-1 is the psyche sleeve issued with Sgt. Pepper's. It has a 2" seam-split on the left edge center and a 2.5" seam-split on the bottom edge canter and a 3" seam-split on the right edge center. Also has 1.25 split in upper RH-corner.
