ALAN SKIDMORE QUINTET - ONCE UPON A TIME
A truly brilliant condition copy, very sparingly played with great sounding audio, of this 1st press 1969 jazz rarity

Matrix numbers : ARL-9334.P-1A with stamper 1 D / ARL-9333.P-1A with stamper 1 U
1969 UK 1st press Deram Nova jazz rarity : gleaming, jet black sheen vinyl in near mint (NM) condition with earliest "P-1A" matrices on each side and barely any marks at all - even with close scrutiny under a bright light it is difficult to identify any aberrations - clearly this record has been very sparingly played, near mint (NM) condition labels with just a couple of small and extremely faint spindle trails on each; excellent (EX) condition outer sleeve with firm unscuffed edges, 1st press "nipped" end spine with all spine text remaining perfectly intact and non-rubbed corners - just a couple of small and very light storage marks on the reverse side with just the faint hint of some very light ring wear towards the top and bottom edges, and all artwork/photos/text remaining impressively intact; superb MONO audio quality with no clicks or background crackle/interference - simply great tone with crystal clear sound quality throughout. Comes with original excellent plus (EX+) condition Deram red & white MONO poly-lined inner sleeve, with no edge splits, barely any creasing and just a couple of small and very light glue/age discolouration marks...negligible. Now becoming very difficult to track down these Deram Nova UK 1st pressings, especially in such brilliant condition as this.
A long deleted jazz rarity, overlooked and completely under the radar when first released in 1969, with great condition 1st pressings such as this now highly sought after. POSTAGE COSTS :

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
