Description

Please read my description carefully before bidding.  I will ship the item worldwide and will accept free return if it doesn't match the listing description.


This one is an original mono and deep-grooved pressing of Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers' THE BIG BEAT.  Blue Note Records BLP-4029.  This is an original 1960 issue from Blue Note Records, not a reissue version of Classic Records or Analog Production.  Recorded by Rudy Van Gelder with "RVG" and "EAR" stamped on the dead wax of both sides.  Address on labels: "BLUE NOTE RECORDS. 47 WEST 63rd. NYC".  The cover is the 1st cover with laminated front cover with no address.  


Artists include: Art Blakey (drums), Lee Morgan (trumpet), Bobby Timmons (piano), Wayne Shorter (tenor saxophone), Jymie Merritt (bass).


The vinyl plays NM (almost Mint) on both sides.  Vinyl is bright and glossy.


The cover is NM due to black ink residue on the back cover (please see picture).  Otherwise, very nice.  The spine is intact.  


The record is play graded. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. 


My grading is as follows: M (perfectly like new), NM, NM-/VG++, VG+, VG, VG-, G, G-. You will be satisfied.  And I will accept a free return.  Please bid with confidence.
