Original, blue and white label with 767 Lexington Ave. NYC on the labels and at the bottom of the back cover. The record has the "ear" in the dead wax on both sides. 8 tracks recorded in NYC in 1944, deep groove. The group is referred to as: Art Hodes And His Chicagoans. Leader, Art Hodes, piano; Ray Conniff, trombone; Rod Cless, clarinet; Jack Bland, guitar; Bob Haggart, bass ( on 4 tracks ); Sid Jacobs, bass (on 4 tracks); Danny Alvin, drums. Tunes by W.C.Handy, Jelly Roll Morton, Hodes and others.
Cover: VG+ Intact and clean. Light aging on the front and back cover.
Record: VG++ to Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. A small number of shorty, faint, surface rub marks on both sides. These are barely visible and do not affect the sound. On Side 1, Track 2 & 3, several short,faint, isolated clicks, barely audible. On Side 2, Track 4, 2 or 3 very light clicks on the first 3 or 4 revolutions and several light clicks that repete, mid Track. Fine overall condition. Audibly checked.
