BEATLES UK – ABBEY ROAD LP – RARE LABEL.

1969 PCS 7088 - APPLE RECORD LABEL.

A first press UK album in 100% original condition featuring:

1. a Misaligned APPLE logo mispress on the rear of the sleeve.

2. a rare variant of record label on side two as the text ‘33 1/3 and PCS 7088’ is printed on the bottom of the group of text, this text normally appears on the 2nd line of the text !

3. the text on the record label on side one has been mispressed as it is out of centre, ie more over to the left !,

4. the track ‘ Her Majesty ’ is NOT printed on the record label on side two nor is it printed on the rear of the sleeve BUT the track DOES play on the record !

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in very good+ condition, the sleeve is fully laminated. The spine is in very good condition and all the text is clear to read. As this is a very first pressing of this album it features the Apple logo on the rear of the sleeve misaligned, to the left !. EMI were quick to correct this and later sleeves had the Apple logo aligned with the song listing !. Theres NO pen writing, stains, splits, tears stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There is some laminate ceasing on the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good+ condition and is the original white EMI sleeve with a ‘ Patent No. 1,125,555’. Theres NO pen writing, stains, tears, splits, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE VINYL: is in near excellent condition, it is very dark, clean and glossy, the vinyl is made from thick, heavy vinyl.

The Matrix is: YEX 749 - 2 and YEX 750 – 1,

The Mother/Stampers are : ‘ 3 R G M ’ and ‘ 3 G M P ’.

THE AUDIO: is excellent although I did hear some light ‘ticks’ on the first minute of the song, ‘Here comes the Sun’. The vinyl plays well without the needle sticking or jumping.

THE LABELS: are in very good++ condition and as this is a first pressing it shows a DARK Green Apple colour on side one. As mentioned above, there are two anomalies on each of the record labels.
