Very rare 1983 US Editions EG & Jem Distribution vinyl 11 LP box set comprising Brian Eno's solo LP's including the previously unreleased 'Music For Films Volume 2' & 'Rarities' albums:   1. Here Come The Warm Jets (1973)   2. Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy) (1974)   3. Another Green World (1975)   4. Discreet Music (1975)   5. Before And After Science (1977)   6. Music For Films (1978)   7. Ambient 1: Music For Airports (1978)   8. Ambient 4: On Land (1982)   9. Apollo Atmospheres & Soundtracks (1983)   10. Music For Films Volume 2   11. Rarities    All albums are housed in picture sleeves with original artwork and housed in a large heavy cardboard tray - fitting perfectly into a 2" x 12" x 12" bluish-purple picture box.  

Both the EP and Music for Films Volume 2 were exclusive to this set, but can now be found separately. Music for Films Volume 2 is notable for being a prototype of Apollo: Atmospheres & Soundtracks, containing a few unique songs and the bulk of Apollo in a much less polished form: an interesting, and rare, glimpse into the Eno process.

(IMPORTANT NOTE: unless otherwise noted, ALL records are graded visually, and NOT play-graded!; we grade records under the strong, diffuse room light or discrete sunlight)

(a)          WE GRADE THE VINYL AS STRONG NEAR MINT (APPEARS UNPLAYED, POSSIBLY PLAYED ONCE). The original luster is very much intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.

(b)          The record comes in the original inner sleeve (each volume replicates original album artwork).

(c)             The records are pressed on a RELATIVELY thick, inflexible vinyl. This is NOT a thin, flimsy ('dynaflex' type), vinyl, but not the thickest, most rigid vinyl, either.

(d)          Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

·       COVER (BOX)

THE BOX IS NICE --- ABOUT EXCELLENT OR VERY GOOD++ (VG++).

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-         A 1 x 2 piece of clear scotch tape noted on the spine (this may be possible to remove with a little effort, but we did not attempt to); please note that there is NO evidence of splitting on the spine; the tape probably served to affix something to the spine, or to

-         The box has a completely split top (back) seam; This split seam was delicately taped by the previous owner with a piece of transparent scotch tape

-         Cover has JUST A HINT of ring wear (nothing significant); On the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and 10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as 1 (front side) and 2 (back side).

-         Minor inking (camouflaging of bald spots in like-colored marker) noted on a few tiny spots along the edges (nothing significant)

-         Visible shelf wear noted on the bottom seam.

-         Minor shelf wear noted on the top seam and spine (nothing significant)

-         PLEASE NOTE: virtually all individual covers inside have 1 to 1.1/2" split top seams, apparently from the shifting of the

     record in transit; the minor flaw is purely cosmetic and looks more like a crack in the paper slick than the actual split seam.

-        No cut-out (drill) holes.

-        No cut-out corners

-        No saw-marks or indents

-        No dirt/dust rubbing stains (friction marks caused by rubbing against other covers)

-        No wrinkles or creases

-        No mold or mildew spots

-        No water damage

-        No razor marks, scratches, pressure marks, lines, streaks, or cuts.
