BEAUTIFUL VINYL & RECORD LABELS, AND SUPERB GLOSSY LAMINATED GATEFOLD SLEEVE,WITH IT’S ORIGINAL LONDON RECORD SHOP SEE THROUGH PRINTED BAG, AND SUPERB AUDIO.
Summary:
This THIRD ISSUE STEREO version of the Beatles 4th UK album release, BEATLES FOR SALE was to be the FINAL release on the Black & Yellow Parlophone Label, soon to be replaced with new design Black & Silver One Box Parlophone Label, this album was released by Parlophone UK in 1968, and is a Cross Over variant, and as a result, only one of the record labels has the familiar Sold in UK label text.
Album Description and Condition:
The THIRD ISSUE STEREO VINYL LP is on the traditional Black & Yellow Parlophone Label, with ‘The GRAMOPHONE Co Ltd label’ rim, with the‘Sold in the UK label text only on the side one record label….’ and ‘Made in Gt. Britain’ printed to both sides of the SUPERB record labels.
Both record labels are in IMPRESSIVE Near Mint condition. A LOVELY CLEAN, UNWORN Set of Record labels, with NO handwriting or fading to the bold Yellow or Silver Printed text, showing just a couple of light centre spindle lines to each label.
Side 1 stamped matrix: YEX 142-1 and Side 2: YEX 143-1.
Side 1 stampers: 4 PO. and Side 2 stampers:17 OL..
There is NO embossed KT tax code on this 1968 variant.
Both sides of the Vinyl Disc are in Near Mint condition, LOVELY, CLEAN, UNWORN Vinyl surfaces, hard to detect any hairlines.
Audio Quality:
The album plays EXTREMELY WELL from beginning to end - A CLEAR, STRONG STEREO sound quality with, NO skips, light background crackle can be heard in between tracks.
The quality Vinyl Disc comes in an ORIGINAL, EMI advertising inner sleeve, which is a Near Mint example, there are NO seam splits.
…..And is protected in it’s glossy Laminated Garrod & Lofthouse Gatefold sleeve, printed ‘PCS 3062’ to the inner gatefold, and the word **STEREO** printed to the top right corner of the front of the sleeve.
The sleeve is in Near Mint condition, the sleeve still retains its GLOSS laminate to the front and back, and shows only mild record indentation, and a laminate pinch on the reverse panel, the pinched spine edge is in perfect condition.
The original London Record Shop see through bag is in Very Good condition, showing light age wear, there are no seam splits or tearing to the bag.
A rare cross over variant in top condition, with it’s original London Record Shop Bag this album is now 43 years old.
