I am pleased to offer for your bidding pleasure, The Beatles Hard Day's Night Promotional Movie Record LP. These RADIO SPOTS ANNOUNCEMENTS Lp's were created by United Artist to promote the Beatles film "A Hard Day's Night". Described as found on the Web:

....In addition to the soundtrack album, United Artists prepared a series of records to promote the film. These records are extremely rare for two reasons. First, they were pressed in very limited numbers and distributed only to selected radio stations and movie theaters. Second, because the records were solely intended to promote the motion picture, most disc jockeys and theater managers did not save these unique records after the film had run its course......"

United Artists prepared a deluxe package for radio stations containing a special Beatles Radio Spot Announcements(SP-2362/2363). The disc has a red label with black print. The Radio Spot Announcements are mostly a mixed of most 8 sixty second commercial segments on Side One and Seven more on Side Two. Some commercials have a few spoken words from the Beatles and the remainder with snippets of Beatles songs promoting the movie.

[NOTE: There are 8 cuts on Side 1 and 7 more on Side Two. Each track is independant from each other and do not track into the next cut. These are Radio Spot advertisements for the Movie. Depending on the critria the Dj would then cue the Beatles commercial. ]

CONDITION:
I am not a record collector nor do I have the kinds of expertise to appraise and evaluate such a rarity as this, the below description of condition is my personal opinion. I'll describe what I see to the best of my ability. I've supplied you with plenty of photos where many are close-ups to help you evaluate the condition of this record. (Do put close-ups pics in perspective as they emphasize the scratches. Even, on a pristine LP at a high enough magnification you'd swear you were seeing the Grand Canyon!) So judge for yourself the condition of the record and bid accordingly. I do want to add this: The actual color of the red label has been difficult to match what I see on my computer screen. Granted, everyone's screen resolution and color calibration is probably suited for their own tastes, so the color you see on your screen may vary from the actual color of the label. The color is the red-orange United Artist Label.

Side 1 has a few manufacturer's "bumps" or tiny pimples. Record does not appear to be warped is well within normal variances. These is major very long scuff mark on this side. The scuff does not impair the record sonically, nor does it cause the needle to skip or jump. Is very shallow. At worse, and at loud volume, I can hear a mild "swoosh" as the needle passes over the scuff, esp near Band 6 on Side 1. There are some concentrated scuff/scratch marks, they are heard but again is marginal. There might be a few more minor surface scratches, all less than 1/2" in length here and there. I view them as minor but none-the-less they do exist. Personally, the sonics are pretty good to my ear.

Side 2 looks to be in much better condition with relatively few minor scratches. Sonically each side has its advantages. As the LP has both the spoken word and music. The 1 minute commercials on Side One do show some noise and pops from the scratches but to my ear are not that obvious. The worst scratches are on Side 1 near the middle (Band 6) of the record and can't be ignored but the music/spoken word is still very listenable and after all its a commercial ad. Side 2 is in same virtual condition both visually and sonically. Both sides still have the beautiful "sheen" and is not dull.
