1966 UK **WITHDRAWN 1st MONO PRESSING** LP
*INCLUDES RARE REMIX VERSION OF 'TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS'**
This rare first UK mono pressing includes the withdrawn 'remix 11' version of 'Tomorrow Never Knows' only available on this pressing.
Here is that rare 1966 MONO pressing on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 7009
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text and 'Gramophone Co Ltd...' rims
There is no tax/price code is visible on either label.
The side two label carries the 'Dr Robert' spelling.
Housed in a front laminated 'flipback' mono 'Garrod & Lofthouse' cover.
Complete with original 'Patents Applied For' inner sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 605-2 & XEX 606-1
Stamper numbers: 1/M & 1/L
Extremely low mother/stampers making this one of the first few hundred copies pressed.
Labels: VERY GOOD PLUS
Many spindle trails but no missing paper or added ink.
Visual: VERY GOOD PLUS
A thick, heavy vinyl pressing with clean and bright surfaces bearing moderate handling and play wear.
The surfaces display some light surface marks and the occaisional small, light scratch but no serious 'feelable' marks.
100% flat on the turntable without dishing or warping.
Audio: VERY GOOD
The disc has been played many times but with care and has not been abused in any way.
There is slight deterioration in sound quality with some light intermittant groovewear audible but no hiss, clicks, pops, jumps or repeats.
The rare version of 'Tomorrow Never Knows' plays clearly and well with no audible wear.
Cover: VERY GOOD PLUS
Very strong and clean example extremely light wear only.
The front panel is slightly 'off-white' but retains its unscratched, high gloss laminate which bears just a few light creases.
All corners and opening edges are in fine shape and display virtually no wear at all.
The rear panel is deep black and displays slight discolouration near the opening edge but no ringwear, marks, writing or missing paper.
The spine is perfect, square and readable with no missing laminate and all flipbacks and seams are strong, intact and unsplit.
