*NEAR MINT* 1969 UK 1st *MONO* PRESSING LP


On the final incarnation of the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 7009

Both labels OMIT the 'Sold in UK..' text.

'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims are present on both.

There is no tax/price code is visible in the centre of either label.

Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover.

Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.


Matrix numbers: XEX 605-2 & XEX 606-2

Stamper numbers: 5,2,12/RTL & 6/RLH

Disc weight: 146g

A 1st class set with just three or four faint spindle trails to each centre-hole.

Visual: EXCELLENT +

At first glance, both sides of this superb copy appear 'as new'. Close inspection in strong daylight shows just a single light surface line on side 1 but absolutely no other signs of wear. Close & careful inspection directly under my powerful halogen light reveals just a sparkling rainbow gloss shines and a few extremely faint hairlines but no scratches or any other signs of wear whatsoever. The edge is slightly uneven on the turntable but this does not affect sound or play in any way.

Play: NEAR MINT

This copy has clearly received just a few very careful plays on top-quality equipment and plays throughout with no traces of any audible wear on or between any track.

Cover

EXCELLENT -

An overall clean & strong example with just some general light storage & handling wear, but no major faults. The front panel is clean with just minor toning and slight wear ot the corners & opening edges but no tears to any. The rear panel is clean & black with just a hint of storagewear rubbing over John's shoulder but no other marks or any writing or missing paper. All flipbacks are fully intact and both seams & the spine are unstressed, unsplit & undamaged.

Inner-sleeve

EXCELLENT

Clean & crisp with just minor storagewear creasing but no splits, tears or writing.
