RARE WIDE SPINE ULTRA GLOSSY MONO SLEEVE, LOVELY VINYL, SUPERB AUDIO, TOTALLY COMPLETE, 100% ORIGINAL!
Summary:
No doubt, one of the ICONIC albums of the 20th Century, ‘Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ was released by EMI/Parlophone, UK back in 1967. It went straight to Number 1, and dominated the top position in the charts for 23 weeks!
Album Description and Condition:
RARE FIRST ISSUE **MONO** VINYL LP on the traditional Black & Yellow Parlophone Label, with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd label’ rim, ‘Sold in the UK….’ and ‘Made in Gt. Britain’ printed to both sides of the SUPERB record labels labels.
Both record labels are in SUPERB excellent plus condition, SUPER CLEAN, UNDAMAGED Set of record labels with nothing more than a few light centre spider trails only.
Side 1 stamped matrix: XEX 637-1 and Side 2: XEX 638-1.
Side 1 stampers: 1/MGL and Side 2: 0/MDL.
There is an embossed KT tax/price code to the centre of the side 1 record label.
Both sides of the Vinyl Disc are in IMPRESSIVE excellent plus condition. LOVELY CLEAN, UNWORN GLEAMING Vinyl with just a few light, non-sounding, surface hairlines only.
Play Quality:
The album plays SUPERBLY through ALL the tracks - A CLEAR, STRONG MONO sound with NO skips or clicks.
The Vinyl Disc comes in an ORIGINAL, First Issue, Flame Pink and White inner bag printed ‘Made in Great Britain Patents Applied For’ to the bottom corner which is in excellent condition. NO Handwriting and only a tiny ½" split to the bottom seam and mild age tanning.
And comes with an ORIGINAL First Issue CARD Sgt Pepper Cut-Out, Printed in England, which is in SUPERB, UNDAMAGED near mint condition.
The album is protected in an ORIGINAL First Issue RARE WIDER SPINE Fully Laminated Garrod & Lofthouse Internal Flip back GATEFOLD Sleeve printed ‘PMC 7027 Mono’ to the reverse. The wider spine measures a generous 7 cms wide.
The sleeve is in FINE excellent condition. Still retains its GLOSSY laminate to the front, inner gatefold and reverse, with NO fading to the DEEP VIVID colors, and only minimal record indentation to the front panel. There are NO seam splits to the top and bottom edges and minimal mild corner bruising to three of the corners. The inside of the Gatefold Sleeve is in FINE excellent plus condition, with just mild rubbing to one of the two internal fold over flaps. The WIDE spine edge is UNDAMAGED, CLEAN and FIRM and clearly reads 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band'.
