Description
PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us. Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over +22,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so.

This is the highly sought (very scarce) 1970 original first album by Italian band C I R C U S 2 0 0 0 - sung entirely in English. Largely influenced by psychedelic rock designs from England (bit of British Pink Floydian glide can be heard) though particularly from the American late 60's West Coast styles. Original copies as this (two currently on Discogs, one on ebay are valued twice and higher than opening bid here. Think-Twice !
C I R C U S 2 0 0 0 were pretty awesome in their effort, all original songs and no bad tracks on the album, due to fabulous effective acid-guitar tones snaking about lead singer Silvana Aliotta's bewitching vocal style.
This famous band favored melodramatic, haunting melodies over which Aliotta sang in a highly-sensual yet strident vibrato style. Some of Shocking Blue's work, or Sonja Kristina's vocals with Curved Air may come to mind, though any of their similarities weren't extreme. Their influence of San Francisco 60's psych artists being pretty obvious especially in the guitar work of songs like "Must Walk Forever," where some of the Eastern-influenced soloing sounds right off from early Country Joe & the Fish, and it's well done. This is no doubt, a major highly worthwhile collectible artifact from the psychedelic rock underground scene.

- CONDITION:
- The cover: rated: VG++ collection keeper copy and relatively clean with decidedly no need to upgrade. Strange hard-stock crepe-paper type cover has bright florescent day-glo colors design. There are a couple (small) light handling impressions at edges (so delicate) with exception of bottom left corner crease and not showing much at all on reverse back cover. Has minor light spine wear hardly an issue. Back cover is near "EX" (excellent) overall
reflecting both front & back panels appearing as strong as the photos show. There are no delete marks, no split seams, and no writing ... bright original colors; no fading from 55 years ago
- The vinyl: Rated: VG++ thick/heavy-weight vinyl of test-press acetate type pre-release, as label photos show the RIFI label logos are blank and are roughly textured. Completely "EX" (excellent)
enjoyable throughout audio (plays outstanding!) having very minor visual but few light non-audible hair-scuffs...easy collection keeper copy with decidedly no need to upgrade. Would be difficult to find much better with weird fragile cover and pressing. Both RIFI labels are clean having a manufacturing sticker "EXP." on one side signifying test press/promo advised. - ~~ C I R C U S 2 0 0 0 ~~
