Description

This is Blue Note Records BLP 1595, Julian "Cannonball" Adderley Somethin' Else, a blue and white, deep groove, 47 West 63rd St. label (no R no inc.) original mono issue of this classic recording with RVG and the ear (p) mark stamped in the dead wax. The session features Miles Davis, Hank Jones, Sam Jones and Art Blakey. The record is in VG condition showing marks on both sides but playing well except for some background crackle more evident on side 1 then side 2, and most evident on the quiet parts of track 1 (the piano solo and ending). There are no skips or distortion and nothing to interfere with the enjoyment of the music. The laminated cover, with the 47 West 63rd Street, New York 23, NY address and printed spine has clear tape on part of the bottom seam, some edge wear, and a corner bump on the lower right.. The labels show some wear and spindle marks. A wonderful initial "play" copy of this rare original mono issue with all the proper markings evident. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. This is part of a large jazz record collection I have been selling over the past few months.
