Description

Charlie Parker

“The Bird Blows the Blues”

Original US lp on Dial (901) dg, from 1950 ca

Record: close to M- with no scratches and just a few soft small sleeve scuffs. Sounds great. Seldom played.

Cover: VG++ with no splits and just some light edge wear. Has previous owners (legendary Swedish jazz piano player) name on back.
Cover has a "stamp" on back, from the shop "Nordiska Musikförlaget" where it once was originally bought.
Very hard to find a copy in this great condition - at least here in Sweden!

Records I am selling this time are from my own collection. During the summer we moved into a new smaller apartment and now I don’t have enough space for all records. Half of the collection is in a separate storage right now. Not very funny! So I am planning of letting some really good ones go over the next year or so. I have started to put some of them up on a site, sweedeedee.com for viewing but it's timeconsuming and so far I haven't managed to get more than a few up.

All records are original first pressings, if nothing else is stated.

Buyer pays shipping. IMPORTANT! PLEASE NOTE :

Attention – I am located in Sweden and not in USA! The mentioned shipping cost to USA is not correct!

Air mail shipping to USA for this lp is : US$ 27. Sorry about the high cost for postage but it is what I have to pay to send it. It is due to the weight of this heavy vinyl lp.

ebay assume that everything listed on the ebay.com site is listed by US citizens. Ebay has implemented a rule that records sent within the US can't cost more than 4 US dollars using normal postage. And when I list a record I have to fill in the 4 US dollar in postage. I don't live in the US but I still have to fill in the 4 dollars. This is very irritating for me and confusing for potential buyers.
If you win a record please wait with your payment until I have managed to send you an invoice.
Postage is unfortunately expensive specially with a weak US dollar. I only charge what I have to pay at the post office. I don't add anything for service or packing material etc. The following is what I am going to charge despite what might be written elsewhere on this listing:

Postage and package rates:
I only charge what the Post office charge me. Cost for postage is due to weight and size. I don't charge anything extra for handling etc.

1 LP: within Europe = 13 $, rest of world incl the US = 15 $ (if total package weight is less than 500 grams). Some LPs, with heavy weight vinyl or fold out cover, often have a weight which is more than 500 grams together with packing material. Old Prestige, Impulse, Clef and Blue Note LPs has often a weight just over 500 grams, when the weight for packing material is added.

1 heavy vinyl lp or 2 - 3 "normal" LP:s : within Europe = 23 $, rest of world incl the US = 27 $. (if total package weight is less than 1000 grams). If you win more than one record I will of course combined shipping as it saves a lot of money!
I am sorry about these high postage expenses but I only charge what it is costing me. On big orders I will share the cost for postage!

PLEASE, WAIT WITH YOUR PAYMENT UNTIL I HAVE SENT YOU AN INVOICE!
Please ask for a quote if you buy more than 3 lps.
