Description

An original 1st press of Aladdin Sane on the UK RCA label from 1973. Matrix 3T/3T. Please note the labels are perfectly consistent with 1st press and still mention 'Stereo' toward the top. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original 1st issue gatefold cover. Also included is the original card inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In great condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could make out a few light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are practically silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. The audio quality really is very impressive and, I would imagine, nigh on impossible to better. Interference is pretty much non-existent. All we could detect was a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments - i.e. almost nothing. It's a very nice clean playing copy which lets you hear this classic in all its full glory.
Cover (Ex) A real tricky one to find in clean condition due to the white textured unlaminated surface - it usually shows up a lot of problems. Not here, this copy seems to have pretty much avoided the ageing process [and foxing]. It's very clean with minimal handling and remains nice and white - which is quite unusual. The interior is pretty much immaculate. Edge wear is surprisingly light and the openings are still sharp. All the text on the spine is still legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A stunning specimen.
Inner (Ex+) Superb condition. No splits. Barely a crease - very little wear at all to speak of.
