ELEK BACSIK "JAZZ GUITARIST" mono white promo on Phillips PHM 200-079 US issue 1963 VG+/VG+. (New dealer: Please check my About Me page.)

I would grade this LP VG+. It plays great, but has some minimal noise that was not there when the record was new. It may also have noticeable visual marks, consistent with a well-cared for, but appreciated, record that’s had a moderate amount of play. This LP still plays great, and has lots of shine and is beautiful overall.  THIS IS A VINTAGE COPY. Hungarian Jazz guitarist, cousin to Django (according to the liner notes). Kenny Clarke is here on drums on 5 of the ten tunes. This is a brilliant guitar player and a rare promo copy of this. Elek multitracks here so he is the only guitarist. It sounds very Les Paulish. The tunes: BLUE RONDO A LA TURK; ANGEL EYES; GOD CHILD; TAKE FIVE; WILLOW WEEP FOR ME; OPUS DE FUNK; MY OLD FLAME; ON GREEN DOLPHIN ST. NUAGES; MILESTONES.                                                                            The Jacket: (I don’t rate any jackets with my initials NM) In black magic marker, my initials back upper left, an x back lower left. A very functional jacket. I would rate the cover overall with nothing to cite other than the "promotional copy not for sale" black stamp on back. The jacket is pretty immaculate.                                                                 . !
