Description
This is an auction for an ORIGINAL copy of the 1956 release of Love Me Tender / Anyway You Want Me released in the USA.
The record itself (47-6643 )is in VERY GOOD condition and retains some of it's natural sheen.
There are quite a few visible marks/scratches, but nothing too deep or drastic though.
The labels are quite bright however have a very feint number etched into the Love Me tender side(you have to look really hard to see it)
This is the RARE issue WITHOUT THE HORIZONTAL LINE. (you could say this is this U.S equivilant of HMV SILVER WRITING UK issue!)
The picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2008 as $50-55 in the condition it is in now(which i would say is EXCELLENT - / VERY GOOD+ )for the sleeve alone!!!
THIS IS 1 OF THE 2 PINK SLEEVES ISSUED , THIS BEING THE DARK PINK (rather than the alternative light pink)
This sleeve is over 57 years old and is nice condition for the age.
There are NO SPLITS, RIPS, TEARS or WRITING!(see photos)
The only thing that stops this from grading even higher is some creases / ringwear(see photos)
Overall this was valued at about $75(£48) back in 2008 , so i would guess this would have to be at least £50 .
I will start this at under HALF of that!!
THIS WOULD MAKE A GREAT AFFORDABLE COLLECTION FILLER UNTIL THAT MINT £80+ COPY COMES ALONG!!!
With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might just get a genuine bargain.
