Description
This is an auction for an Original copy of the HARD TO FIND 1956 DEMO / PROMO EP release ELVIS PRESLEY - Perfect For Parties released in the USA.
The record itself (SPA 7-37 dog on top) is in VERY GOOD+ condition retaining some of it's natural sheen with some visible marks/scratches but nothing too deep or drastic.(see photos)
The centre labels are quite bright and have NO WRITING!(see photos)
This is also the hard to find edition with silver line on both sides!
The labels are clearly marked with the words " NOT FOR SALE" (see photos)
This release was obtained only by coupon collection, which in turn was posted out to the recipient.
For those who have never heard this extended play album before Elvis acts as a narrator and introduces the other 5 songs on this E.P in addition to his own track Love Me.
The THICK CARDBOARD picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2008 as $60-65 in the condition it is in now(which i would say is VERY GOOD+) for the sleeve alone!!!
This sleeve is over 59 years old and is in nice condition for the age.
There are NO MAJOR DEFECTS!(see photos)
The only things that stop this from grading even higher is some light ringwear , partial seam splits and wear to the side opener(see photos)
That said , This is a really affordable addition to fill any collection until that Mint $150 record and sleeve come along.
The record is also stored in a separate paper sleeve to prevent anymore wear to this RARE sleeve!!
Overall 2 years ago this was valued at $100(£68 approx) .I dont have a current price guide but i would say at least £70.
With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might be able to grab yourself a bargain!!!
