Description
This is an auction for an ORIGINAL copy of the 1956 release of Love Me Tender / Anyway You Want Me released in the USA.
The record itself (47-6643 )is in VERY GOOD+ condition and retains some of it's natural sheen.
There are quite a few marks/scratches, but nothing too deep or drastic though (see photos).
The labels are clean and have NO WRITING!(see photos)
This is the RARER issue WITH THE HORIZONTAL LINE. (you could say this is this U.S equivilant of HMV GOLD WRITING UK issue!)
The picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2002 as $80 in the condition it is in now(which i would say is EXCELLENT-)for the sleeve alone!!!
THIS IS THE RARER GREEN/BLACK PICTURE SLEEVE!
This sleeve is over 53 years old and shows only a few signs of ageing.
The colours are nice and sharp and There are NO SPLITS, RIPS or TEARS. (see photos)
The only thing that stops this from grading even higher is some some small writing on the top right corner of the sleeve, which is hardly visible and some ringwear on the front and seam glue discolouration on the rear(very common with this release)
THIS IS ONLY THE 2nd ORIGINAL GREEN/BLACK SLEEVE I HAVE HAD AVAILABLE FOR SALE IN 8 YEARS OF SELLING ON EBAY!!!!!!!
Overall this was valued at about $110(£72) back in 2008 , so i would guess this would have to be at least £75 .
I will start this at way under HALF of that!!
THIS WOULD MAKE A GREAT AFFORDABLE COLLECTION FILLER UNTIL THAT MINT £100+ COPY COMES ALONG!!!
With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might just get a genuine bargain.
