BLUE NOTE MONO VINYL 2nd PRESSING!
Seldom seen in UK auctions is this beautiful MONO 2nd PRESSING of Freddie Hubbard's hard bop classic, Goin' Up (Blue Note BLP 4056). This is exactly like the 1st pressing, except without the Plastylite 'P' symbol in the deadwax as it was pressed during the transition to Liberty Records - but essentially an original Blue Note in all but name. I have fully play-tested the vinyl, so my grading is based on how the record actually sounds, as well as how it looks.
Vinyl is strictly graded in Very Good+ condition, due to a light scratch for the first couple of revolutions at the start of side 1 and another on side 2 in the transition from track 2 to 3 - otherwise just a few isolated pops & light hairlines which don't discernibly affect the audio. Having played the album in full, it sounds punchy and loud throughout, being another exceptionally well-recorded album by Rudy Van Gelder! So if you buy expecting VG+ throughout I hope you may be pleasantly surprised :-)
The laminated, dimpled cover (which looks like one from the original run) is strictly graded in Very Good+ condition, due to a corner ding in the top-left and a couple of small marks on the back. However, it is structurally sound and otherwise in superb condition - and, needless to say, with an absolutely awesome cover picture!

Note that I separate the vinyl from the outer sleeve for postage to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me, and in the way I'd like to receive them.
